Earth Works

Poems About Offa's Dyke

Wednesday 19 September, 3pm.

A remarkable reunion of fellow-poets will take place on Wednesday 19th September. Before the ANGLO-WELSH POETRY SOCIETY folded in 2011, they had a project involving rambling around OFFA'S DYKE. The poetic products of these rambles were edited and assembled into an anthology - 'EARTH WORKS'.
At this 'concert of voices', collated by Mike Willmott, most of the original poets will read their poems live, or have them read by friends, or members of the current Salopian Poetry Society. Poems will be interspersed with the magical Welsh harp playing of Joe Botting, from Llandidrod Wells. Shrewsbury biscuits, Welsh cakes, tea, Anglo-Welsh beer will be available.

A free copy of the book will come on the day with a seat reservation @ £5.00 by booking here , calling 01743-290704, or via Mike Willmott, shrewsburywords@hotmail.com tel. 01743-366933
